WOOLWORTHS is urgently recalling a batch of pies they say may contain fragments of glass in them.
The supermarket chain issued a recall of Select brand Chicken and Vegetable Pie four packs — that are sold at both Woolworths and Safeway Supermarkets — that were bought after April 14 this year.
The pies were being recalled due to a potential presence of foreign matter (glass) and said consumers should not eat the product.
Woolworths urged anyone concerned about their health to seek medical advice.
Customers should check the ‘best before’ date on the pies and if it falls on October 9 or 10, they should return the pack to the store for a full refund.
Concerned shoppers can call Woolworths on 1800 103 515 if they require further information.
Woolworths has refused to comment further.
