A VICTIM of the ‘Playboy rapist says she is shocked that he will be released and fears he will reoffend.
Kay Schubach, a former girlfriend of Simon Monteiro, told A Current Affair the convicted rapist had shown no remorse and that she was “frankly shocked that he has been allowed out”.
Ms Schubach claims Monteiro tried to strangle her during an abusive two-month relationship in 2003.
She has been advocating against the release of Monteiro and other high-risk offenders.
“My Facebook feed is full of my friends supporting me and his other victims as well,” Ms Schubach told ACA.
“ I felt that I needed to be the spokesperson to let people know that he is really dangerous.”
Monteiro, 50, was jailed for 12 years in 2008 for bashing, raping and twice impregnating a woman in an eastern suburbs home.
It was announced on Tuesday that he would be released two years before the end of his sentence following a parole board hearing.
Ms Schubach told ACA host Leila McKinnon she was speaking out to warn other women about Monteiro.
“I know the way that he behaves and he will need to find another victim really quickly as he does not know anything else. He is a parasite that needs to find a host.
“He takes advantage of high achieving women with excellent means. He will do that again.”
