A YOUNG girl has been allegedly raped by two men who took her from one of Sydney’s northern beaches, police say.
It’s alleged the 12-year-old girl was approached at Freshwater Beach on Thursday afternoon by the two men who then drove her to Brookvale, which is less than 4km away and a short seven-minute drive, and sexually assaulted her.
Police were alerted and officers from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation.
Detectives arrested two men at Brookvale on Friday afternoon. They were taken to Manly Police station.
One man, 25, has been charged with three counts and the other man, 22, a single count of aggravated sexual intercourse.
Police are yet to confirm where the two men are from and if they were known to the young girl, The Manly Daily reported.
Both have been denied bail and will remain in custody ahead of an appearance at Central Local Court on Thursday.
