Trio shot during home invasion attempt in Kenthurst, Sydney

A FATHER and his two children heard noises outside. When they went outside they were confronted with intruders armed with a gun.

A SYDNEY man and his two adult children were shot at during a home invasion last night.

The 56-year-old man heard noises outside his Porters Rd, Kenthurst, home about 10pm, when he and his 25-year-old daughter and 28-year-old son saw the group, who had their faces hidden behind balaclavas.

There was a brief struggle and shots were fired at them from a pellet gun.

All three escaped with only minor injuries and were taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Police are searching for their attackers, who fled in a black Mercedes Benz sedan.
