THREE children have been rushed to hospital after an oven caught fire and exploded in the inner-Sydney suburb of Glebe.
The children, all aged under four-years-old, suffered burns to their upper bodies, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said.
Most of the burns were superficial but one of the children had worse injuries than the other two and was in a serious condition.
The children have all been taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital.
NSW Fire and Rescue Superintendent Tom Cooper told news.com.au it appeared something on the stove had caught fire.
Two fire crews were called to the home in Glebe Pt Rd but the fire was now out, he said.
