A man in his 20s was flown to The Alfred on Saturday after a two-car smash at Mount Moriac.

The man who had serious head and knee injuries was in a stable condition after the crash at 10:30am at the Cape Otway Rd and Reservoir Rd intersection.

A female teenager, in the same car as the man, with head injuries was taken to the Geelong hospital in a stable condition. Both were trapped in the car before paramedics arrived.

A female in her 50s in the other car involved in the crash was assessed at the scene by paramedics but did not require treatment.

A local said driver behaviour along Cape Otway Road was “awful” because some were “sailing through” intersections with stop signs.

“Moriac Community and emergency services are very concerned about that intersection,” the woman said.
