THE frantic search for a missing nine-year-old girl is over after Natalya Franklin was found in bushland late this morning.

There had been fears for her safety ever since Natalya left her rural Coffs Harbour yesterday morning after a fight with her sisters.

She was wearing only a T-shirt and shorts and was without shoes when she disappeared. It’s believed she spent the night in the bush where the temperature dropped to just 8 degrees Celsius overnight.

Natalya was treated by paramedics for minor injuries after a suspected fall, police said.

Water police and the dog squad were called in to help police and SES volunteers in the search for the young girl.

Before she was found, her worried family said the behaviour was out of character for Natalya.
