P!nk has added three extra stadium shows to her 2024 Summer Carnival tour of Australia after epic demand for tickets during this week’s pre-sales.
Ahead of general tickets going on sale on Friday, the Trustfall pop superstar has booked another concert at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on February 10, Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on February 17 and Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on February 24.
The extraordinary demand to see her perform in stadiums next year led to some fans expressing frustrations as they attempted to log on to a Telstra Plus pre-sale on Monday.
It’s no surprise there are hundreds of thousands of fans who want to see these shows next year.
P!nk broke indoor arena records in Australia with her Funhouse tour in 2009, selling a whopping 660,000 tickets. She has continued to sell well in excess of half a million tickets on each tour since including The Truth About Love in 2013 and Beautiful Trauma in 2018.
The Summer Carnival shows will kickstart what is expected to be the biggest concert calendar in Australia since 2019 as the live music industry has struggled to return to full strength after more than two years of gig shutdowns and border restrictions.
Blink 182 will also kick off 2024 in Australia with their reunion world tour booking 14 arena concerts here.
A wishlist of superstar acts being courted by local promoters to bring their international productions here over late 2023 and through 2024 include Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, the Rolling Stones and Metallica.
General public tickets for all shows, including these new dates, go on sale on Friday, February 17 – Adelaide from 9am, Brisbane and Melbourne from 10am, Newcastle and Perth at 12pm, and Sydney and Gold Coast at 1pm. All times are local.
