A WOMAN who racially abused a teenage girl, calling her a “chink” in a drunken tirade across western Sydney, has been jailed for at least three months.

A WOMAN who racially abused a teenage girl, calling her a “chink” in a drunken tirade across western Sydney, has been jailed for at least three months.

Nicole Boyle’s menacing rants began not long after she and her then-boyfriend stumbled onto a nearly full train at Parramatta last July.

Witnesses told police they were unsteady on their feet and reeked of alcohol as Boyle launched into a feral spray against a 15-year-old girl, telling her she needed to go back to “eating rice” and called her a “chink”.

Boyle later boarded a bus where she made hateful remarks to people of African and Pacific Islander appearance.

She pleaded guilty last year to assault and offensive language after the incident on June 8, 2015 on the train from Parramatta to Lidcombe.

Magistrate Alex Mijovich rejected claims by defence lawyers that the train rant wasn’t racially motivated.

“(You had) covered every possible continent by the time you have got to this point ... you seem to be covering all nationalities in your comments,” he told Boyle.

The court heard as the train approached Lidcombe, the 34-year-old pulled the teenager up by her hair, and slapped her.

Nicole Boyle will be eligible for parole in July.

Boyle accused the young girl of calling her “white trash” and threatened to “f****** headbutt” her, reported The Daily Telegraph.

He sentenced her to a maximum 12 months in jail during a sentencing hearing on Tuesday, ordering she serve at least three months.

Boyle had already received non-custodial sentence for similar offences, including suspended sentences, good behaviour bond and intensive corrections order, so Mr Mijovich indicated he had little option but to jail her.

He fixed a 12-month jail term for the assault, with a three-month non-parole period, and a one month concurrent jail sentence for the offensive language.

“I don’t accept the submission she called you white trash. When you said to her you can’t say white trash she said I didn’t say that,” Mr Mijovich said.

“This was a 15-year-old girl, on the train with her friends, talking to her friends ... the community does not need to be confronted by such behaviour and a physical assault, under any circumstance.”
