A MAN who had outstanding warrants for his arrest has been found by police hiding under a doona in a bedroom in the NSW Riverina Region.

A MAN who had outstanding warrants for his arrest has been found by police hiding under a doona in a bedroom in the NSW Riverina Region.
A statement from NSW police said officers “attended a home on Heath Crescent, Griffith, and while speaking with the female occupant, noticed the man in another room”.
“Following a search of the home, the man was located hiding under a doona in a bedroom,” the statement read.
“As Public Order and Riot Squad officers attempted to arrest him, the man allegedly resisted and assaulted them.”
The 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to Griffith Police Station, where he was charged with three outstanding warrants, resist officer in the execution of duty, and assault officer in the execution of duty.
No one was injured.
He has been refused bail to appear at Griffith Local Court today.
