Man who fell in Whittington taken to hospital in critical condition

A man believed to have fallen on a concrete driveway in Whittington on Saturday morning was taken to a Melbourne hospital in a critical condition.

A man believed to have fallen on a concrete drive way in Whittington on Saturday morning was taken to a Melbourne hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Paramedics were called to a Whittington address just after 11am after the man in his 70s fell.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man’s condition worsened as paramedics treated him.

“Initially his condition was serious then turned to critical,” the spokeswoman said.

She said the man was flown to the Royal Melbourne hospital after the air ambulance landed at a Newcomb reserve.
