Man dead after driveway shooting in Kingswood, Sydney

A MAN was standing on his western Sydney driveway when he was shot, before a car was seen leaving the area.

A man has been shot dead on Stafford Street, Kingswood. The body of a male was located on the footpath outside a home and opposite a reserve. Police established a crime scene whilst forensic officers and dog unit searched for evidence. Pics Bill Hearne

THE body of a man lay under a bloodstained white sheet early today after a driveway shooting in Sydney’s west.

The man was standing on his driveway on Stafford St, Kingswood, when he was gunned down just after midnight.

Police have been told a vehicle was seen leaving the location soon. Neighbours weren’t able to provide a description of the car, but have reported hearing shots being fired.

Paramedics tried to save the victim, who was aged in his 30s, but he died at the scene.

Police forensic and ballistic specialists were at the property this morning.
