THE man who watched bikie Bronson “Lizard Man” Ellery kill himself after he murdered his ex-girlfriend was a key figure in a violent daylight stabbing at the weekend, the Bulletin can reveal.
Michael Ryan Warburton was the driver of a van rammed by a ute at an Upper Coomera shopping centre on Saturday over an alleged drug debt.
Police allege the Lizard Man’s best friend had his foot slammed in the door of a black van when it was rammed by a blue ute driven by Joshua Saul Mann, 33.

Tayne Riley Clarkson, 19, a passenger in Warburton’s vehicle, is accusing of stabbing the passenger in the ute with a fishing knife in the left forearm and upper arm.
The victim took himself to hospital and has since been released.

Police allege the group had agreed to meet in the car park to discuss an outstanding drug debt.
In December 2016, the Bulletin revealed Warbuton was in Ellery’s Southport unit when he killed himself in November 2016.

The Lizard Man had asked Warburton to visit, a court was told last year, after he had killed former girlfriend Shelsea Schilling. Ellery was dubbed the Lizard Man due to his prominent facial tattoos.

Warburton arrived to find Ms Schilling in a pool of blood.
For an hour Warburton supported Ellery.
Ellery went and got changed into his best suit, put on his favourite song, set up a full-length mirror in the lounge room, laid down in front of it, draped Ms Schilling’s lifeless arm across his body.
Eventually Ellery told him: “I promised her I would go with her” and committed suicide in front of him, the Brisbane Supreme Court was told in June last year.
Warburton had stayed out of the spotlight since that court appearance — until Saturday.
Police allege the group meet to discuss a drug debt when things began to go wrong.
After the stabbing Munn allegedly did a U-turn, crashing into the van and trapping Warburton’s foot.

Warburton was taken to hospital with a suspected broken foot.
The 28-year-old, who has links to the Bandidos bikie gang, has not been charged over the incident.
Munn was granted bail in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday where he faced a charge of dangerous operation.
The only bail condition placed on Munn by Magistrate Joan White was that he reside at an approved address.
His matter will return to court on April 16.
Clarkson is charged with wounding and going armed to cause fear.
He did not apply for bail and his matter was adjourned to April 9.
