Julie Bishop is stepping out more since her breakup with businessman David Panton.
The former foreign minister has been seen out and about and turning heads with various looks, the latest at the very first Street Side Medics Gala event in Sydney on Friday.
Ms Bishop took to Instagram to share her look which she described as “Black tie with [a] touch of street wear.”
For the event, the Hon. Julie Bishop, who was Australia’s Foreign Minister from 2013 to 2018, paired a floor-length black Halston gown with a sequinned bodice topped with a Dion Lee bomber jacket in the puffer style. Ms Bishop tagged retailer David Jones.
Side Street Medics is a charity that delivers free GP led mobile medical services to the homeless.
The event was at Crown Sydney and Bishop was joined by philanthropist Luke Hepworth, Susan Wynne, and 2GB breakfast host Ben Fordham.
Ms Bishop looked radiant as she posed for the cameras, hands on hips, smiling warmly, with her hair in a sleek, long pixie bob style.
The newly-single socialite added a pop of drama with false eyelashes and smoky eye, and pale pink nails.
It’s all part of her new social life after leaving parliament and becoming single, and the 66-year-old is not afraid to steal the show.
Last week, she stunned onlookers in a Balmain mini-dress at the David Jones Spring/Summer Fashion Launch.
It comes after Ms Bishop’s ex, Mr Panton, allegedly dropped her over dinner in Sydney in July, ending their eight-year relationship.
During their relationship Mr Panton accompanied Ms Bishop to many high profile international events at the UN, Buckingham Palace, and the White House.
The pair also attended celebrity events such as the 2018 wedding of Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough.
The high-flying couple also attended a charity event with Prince Charles at St James’ Palace in London.
According to the Daily Mail, Ms Bishop was ‘blindsided’ by the breakup, and had been finding more ways to be in Sydney with Mr Panton.
