These are the 12 homegrown talents who should not be missing from your 2021 playlists – a

dizzying collection of hip hop, pop, R & B and rock artists, hand-picked by National Music Writer Kathy McCabe, who are set to shake the global airwaves with their genre-busting tunes.

JAGUAR JONZE

One of the artists of 2020 is poised to soar to even greater heights when she releases her debut album in the first half of 2021.

Brisbane pop artist Deena Lynch kicked off the year with a scene-stealing performance of her song Rabbit Hole at the Eurovision: Australia Decides contest in February.

The Triple J Unearthed most-played artist somehow managed to release a succession of brilliant singles and her debut EP Diamonds and Liquid Gold as she battled coronavirus contracted on a dash home from an abandoned tour in the US, as borders closed.

The courageous songwriter also helped lead a campaign against sexual harassment in the music industry.
