A new European glassware promotion in Coles and Liquorland stores has quickly become one of the supermarket’s most popular customer reward offers.
More than one million pairs of the Schott Zwiesel range – featuring short and tall tumblers, champagne flutes, white and red wine glasses and a decanter – have already been redeemed.
In a special promotion this weekend, Coles shoppers who purchase a News Corp newspaper in-store will receive five bonus credits to use on redeeming the glassware.
Customers must scan their Flybuys card in store to gain credits for the glassware, which has already surpassed MasterChef cookware and KitchenAid bakeware in popularity.
Flybuys devotee Darian Clark said he joined the loyalty program nearly 10 years ago and uses points to save on grocery shopping, family holidays and promotions like the glassware range.
“I generally earn and use points each week to take the edge off the cost of each shop,” he said.
“It makes a small difference each week, a bigger difference each month, and a huge difference at the end of the year.
“We pool our points so every shop earns points on my card; and then we stack on points through all of the insurance product bonus points every month, and make sure we activate all the offers to maximise points.”
