Married mother-of-one Mrs Sciberras, who previously voted Labour, said education was her key area of concern as her son, 11, heads into high school.

And for father-of-one Mr Kowaliw, a forklift driver who has voted Liberal, better job opportunities for younger people and improved aged care was both urgently needed.

Each Thursday leading up to election day, Sky News Political Editor David Speers will track the voters and discuss the issues driving their decisions on who should lead the country.

“If you’ve ever wondered how a focus group works, this will be a real insight,” Mr Speers said. “Real voters offering their unfiltered views on each week of the campaign.”
