Gold Coasters are rip, roaring and ready to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday September 6, and a Classic Car Show is among a plethora of dad day activities on offer.
Ranging from Caddies to Chevy’s, Mustangs to Monaro’s there will be over three million dollars’ worth of “cool, classic and custom vehicles” to check out at Carrara Markets.
Organiser Mia Lee said with a strict COVIDSafe plan, they hope the annual rock n’ roll car show would be “anxiety free and a fun opportunity for car owners and dads to relax”.
“It’s hard to work out what to do on Father’s Day, especially this year,” she said.
“Around 75 car enthusiasts are gearing up to show off their babies and we hope car crazy dads love it.”
The free event will open from 8am to 3pm on Saturday September 5 and Sunday September 6.
The Gold Coast Hinterland will be a hive of activity too, with a picnic and alpaca bonanza at Canungra Valley Vineyards and a boot scootin’ farm day at Tommerup’s Dairy Farm.
Set menus will be on offer at Robina Pavilion and The Lucky Squire. Salt Meat and Cheese, Surfers Paradise is hosting two-hour boozy pasta masterclasses starting at $118 per person.

The family-friendly restaurant reopens at Wednesday, 2 September from 12pm.
The restaurant will feature contactless, tap and go, mobile phone order and payment technology by menu, which negates the need for menus and manual cash or card transactions for customers. Delivery services are also available.
Spoil yourself, or dad, with pretzels, pork knuckles, sauerkraut, creamy mash, golden-crumbed schnitzels and plump German sausages.

For the early risers, start the day with breakfast in The Brasserie, featuring a brand new, mouth-watering breakfast menu. Choose from either an 8am or 10am sitting and begin the day with a feed fit for a King – or a Dad!
Alternatively, there’s a set lunch menu for $45, including a trio of dips, Dad’s choice of either 450g T-bone Steak, Chilli & Lime Crusted Salmon or Gluten Free Veggie Farmhouse Pizza PLUS a beer, wine or soft drink. Two seatings available at 11:30am or 1:30pm.

gates to their farm to welcome families and celebrate the special men in their lives.

be the ‘Farmers Challenge’, where dads will go head to head for the coveted
Tommerup’s trophy.
