LENGTHY traffic delays are expected throughout the morning after a serious crash closed lanes on Sydney’s Harbour Bridge.
All lanes were now opened after the 6am crash between a motorbike and a car but the delays — which at one point were at least 12km long — would continue for some time.
Motorists are still being urged to avoid the area or at least delay travel.
The crash happened opposite Milsons Point railway station. The male motorbike rider, 38, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken femur. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old female, was uninjured.
Three city-bound lanes and one northbound lane were closed because of the accident.

Buses travelling across the Anzac Bridge were delayed by up to 80 minutes.
NSW Police said a 38-year-old male motorcyclist was thrown from his bike in the accident. He has been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The 25-year-old female driver of the car was not injured, and is assisting police with their inquiries.
