And that’s what Corio MP Richard Marles did in federal parliament this week by wearing a yellow and black tie during question time.
On the eve of the AFL Grand Final, Mr Marles, a passionate Geelong supporter, made a bet with longtime mate and Tiger’s fan Darren Lamont.
The deal was if Geelong won, Mr Lamont would paint his house in Geelong colours, and if the Tigers won, Mr Marles had to wear a Richmond tie in parliament.
Education Minister and Tiger’s fan, Dan Tehan, lent his tie to Mr Marles for the occasion.
