A MAN has faced court over a vicious stabbing in Norlane last month that left the alleged victim clinging to life.
Christopher Wills, 27, of Corio, appeared in custody at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Friday over multiple incidents in recent weeks.
The most serious allegations stem from the afternoon of December 27 when it is claimed Mr Wills stabbed a man up to eight times in Norlane.
Police descended on Swift Way after the 35-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds, while a trail of blood was visible for several hundred metres.
It is believed the man was stabbed in Bellbird Ave before stumbling to an address in Swift Way.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, before his condition was downgraded to stable.
Mr Wills was arrested on Thursday alongside his partner, Catherine Thompson, after the pair allegedly broke into a home on Separation St earlier that morning and fled with a stolen car.
He has been charged with a dozen offences including intentionally causing serious injury, car theft and reckless conduct endangering serious injury.
Mr Wills is also facing charges of aggravated burglary and three counts of committing an indictable offence while on bail.
Dressed in a blue jumpsuit, he made no application for bail during a brief court hearing.
He was remanded in custody until Monday when his lawyer will be available.
Ms Thompson also appeared in court and was remanded until February 26.
