CHLOE Maxwell, model and wife of dual international footy legend Mat Rogers, is to host a new breakfast radio show, with her famous husband joining her on air “from time to time’’.

The high-profile mum of four will be hosting Good Taste Brekky with Chloe Maxwell on Juice1073, a community radio station. The new show kicks off on Thursday, August 1, and will be aired on weekdays between 6am and 9am.

Rogers said he was very proud of his wife, who was an “exceptional’’ radio talent.

“I’m really excited for Chloe and this show and I’m look forward to joining her on air for a chat from time to time,” he said.

Chloe is no newcomer to the media and brings experience in commercial radio and TV, locally and nationally, to the new gig, which she promised would be “refreshing and inspiring’’.

She said she had decided to join Juice1073 not to just make some noise, but to make a difference.

“I love media and entertainment but a while back, I reached a point where I realised I didn’t want it to be about me anymore,” she said.

“I want to support and celebrate others. This new show will be dedicated to those who make a difference in our city.

“We have a bunch of different ideas we’re throwing around and we’ll be showcasing people who have a profile. I also like a joke, so I guarantee there’ll also be some laughs, definitely.”

Chloe said she was unfazed about very early starts.

“I’m used to early mornings because I train often with my husband early,” she said. “I’ll be getting up at about 4.30am to be in the studio by 5am and it’s only a 15-minute drive from home.”

Chloe said community radio and Juice1073’s concept of Good Taste Radio was something that meant a lot to her and she was excited to be part of it. She said her husband was proud of her new gig.

Juice1073 chief executive Hayden Whitworth said there were people all across the city, who were making a difference.

“They’re the greatest stories that haven’t been told,” he said.

“They’re what makes our community incredible and this city the greatest one on earth. We call them the Gold Coast’s Good Taste Champions and now they have a new home on our breakfast show.”

Mr Whitworth said he was looking forward to introducing Chloe and the new show to the Gold Coast.

“I’ve known Chloe for years and it’s clear she carries that same heart in a really authentic way, so it’s super exciting to welcome her on board.”

He said Juice1073 had a Christian ethos focused on serving others, and he had great respect for Chloe’s Christian faith which was evident in her charity work and desire to help others.
