Cycling star Cadel Evans and partner Stefania Zandonella have welcomed their second child together.

The 2011 Tour de France winner’s Italian partner announced the happy news on Instagram, with a photograph of baby boy Blake, born on October 7.

Evans wrote on Instagram: “On a scale of 1 to 10, emotionally? I’m at about 259”.

The pair welcomed their first child together, Aidan, in January last year.

Evans and Zandonella, a former professional skier, usually divide their time between Switzerland and Barwon Heads.

Evans also has an older son, Robel, adopted from Ethiopia in 2012, with former wife Chiara Passerini, an Italian pianist.
