THE female boss of a Sydney drug syndicate who allegedly ordered the murders of a drug dealer and his girlfriend is under investigation for the executions of two other men.
All four murders are linked to the same drug syndicate allegedly run by Dung Thi Ngo, 40, who is in jail on drug supply charges and due for release next year. She has not been charged with any of the murders.
Police allege Kevin Ly was the “henchman’’ for Ms Ngo, who was present when he allegedly killed drug cook Son Thanh Nguyen, 39, and his girlfriend Thi Kim Lein Do in 2013. The pair had a baby girl and were murdered because Nguyen had stolen drugs from the syndicate, according to court papers tendered to Fairfield court yesterday.
Police said Ly, 25, was paid to kill the pair after they were lured to a drug house in Canley Vale on April 9, 2013. It’s alleged the two were taken into separate rooms by Ly and several other men. Ly was armed with a shotgun the other two with a revolver and a samurai sword.
Ms Ngo is alleged to have said to Ly “just do it’’.
“She handed a case containing fifty dollar notes to one of accused’s male associates,” according to the statement of facts. “The accused and his associates looked at each other and nodded.”
A witness, who is now cooperating with police, said Ms Do begged for her life as she lay down hands and feet tied. “I know nothing, don’t kill me,’’ she said, before a pillow was placed on her face.
In the next room Mr Nguyen, whose hands were restrained with cable ties, was bashed with a shotgun and then strangled. His body was found in a Bankstown gutter the next day.
The decomposed body of his de facto was not found until January, 2014, in a West Hoxton paddock. A strike force is looking into the murders of two other drug dealers police suspect were connected to the syndicate.
Drug dealer Minh Tu was found shot dead in a Fairfield park three weeks before the alleged murders of Mr Ngu-yen and Ms Do. It is believed his murder may also be linked to that of Hung Robert Tran, shot dead in his car in Cabramatta in July, 2016.
Head of NSW Homicide, Detective Superintendent Mick Willing willing said there would be more arrests into the deaths of Mr Ngu-yen and Ms Do.
