The Bellarine Show will not run next year.

The event usually held at the Portarlington Recreation Reserve will instead be postponed to March 13, 2022.

The Bellarine Agricultural Society said in a statement the “unpredictability” around COVID meant the show would not be held in 2021.

“All the people who bring alive the Bellarine Show are volunteers and sponsors.

“The Bellarine Agricultural Society knows that its volunteers are valuable.

“Due to this, and to the uncertainty and the unpredictability of the Covid-19 situation the Bellarine Agricultural Society has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Bellarine Show.

“We are all proud of our Bellarine Show and the work has already begun forming the 2022

Bellarine Show.

“All going well the 2022 show will feature a spectacular woodchopping competition and creative chainsaw sculpting with the carvings up for auction later.

“So please put Sunday 13th March 2022 in your calendars, as we really do hope to see you there.”
