Apology for photo of nurse

This apology pertains to an article published in March, 2025.

News.com.au published an article on 30 March 2025 entitled “Parents launch legal action over ‘awful decision’ to amputate four-year-old’s leg after alleged negligence”.

The article included an unblurred photo of a nurse, who wrote to news.com.au expressing concern that the article suggested it was alleged she had provided negligent nursing care.

News.com.au wishes to make clear that no such allegation is made against the nurse, and did not intend to make such a suggestion.

News.com.au apologises to the nurse for any hurt and embarrassment caused by the publication of the photo within the article.
