An inquest has heard Numan Haider stabbed a friend a fortnight before he stabbed police

NUMAN Haider, teen turned terror suspect, stabbed a friend just weeks before he violently attacked two police officers outside a station.

A TERROR suspect is believed to have stabbed a friend in the hand and laughed about it.

At the inquest into Numan Haider’s death, the court heard only a fortnight before he went on a stabbing rampage and injured two police officers outside the Endeavour Hills Police Station, he rang his friend and laughed about stabbing another friend accidentally.

Numan Haider was shot dead by police after he stabbed an officer in the arm and another in the eye.

Police raided his bedroom in his Narre Warren home out of fear he was becoming radicalised and asked him to meet them at the station in September 2014.

The phone conversation between Haider and Mr Sulejmani was played in court as Mr Sulejmani gave evidence.

He described Haider as “peaceful”.

The inquest continues.
