FANCY giving your wardrobe the royal treatment? Despite Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s penchant for Givenchy, both she and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, mix their designer clothes with high street labels. Which means we can all be a budget duchess.

It also pays dividends with their popularity.

“Meghan and Kate both present a very down-to-earth image for the Royal Family, which has been invaluable to their appeal,” says Amanda Dishaw, editor of meghansmirror.com and whatwouldkatedo.com.

“By wearing more affordable items, they become more relatable.

“People love watching the royals, but they really love it when they feel similar to them.”

MEGHAN’S MAINSTREAM PICKS

MARKS AND SPENCER

Meghan has embraced British mainstay Marks and Spencer. At the wedding of Prince Harry’s cousin this month, she matched her Oscar de la Renta dress with a $52 hat from
M&S and on a charity visit to Brixton in January she wore an $80 sweater with a Smythe coat and Burberry pants. She also wore $31 leather gloves on Christmas Day.

Where to buy: The hat, bell-sleeved sweater and gloves are still available at marksandspencer.com, who deliver to Australia.

Where to buy: While the scarf is no longer in stock, the Australian chain carries similar styles, jigsawclothing.com.au

ADIDAS

The yoga devotee is often snapped in exercise gear, such as her navy suede trainers and the black Adidas Performance tights she wore in February last year in Toronto.

MISSOMA

Meghan likes stacking gold rings and one of her favourites is Missoma’s Interstellar, $79 and the biggest-selling item on meghansmirror.com.

Where to buy: Missoma.com stocks the Interstellar ring and delivers to Australia.

J. CREW

Meghan wears a lot of J. Crew — she sported this $400 navy coat by the brand in Birmingham in March, a $160 quilted sleeveless vest in London in May, their $118 chambray shirt in April 2017 and $104 white linen shirt with $118 sandals on a trip to Texas that June.

out immediately.

Where to buy: Maternity Leigh jeans — and many newer styles — are available at topshop.com.

L.K. BENNETT

Catherine’s first official engagement with The Queen in 2012 was in a $525 teal jacket and $400 dress by L.K. Bennett and she wore their $580 print dress to meet the Obamas in 2016. She’s also a big fan of their shoes, particularly their nude pumps, $350. While pricey, the brand is famous for its sales.

Where to buy: LKbennett.com has a wide range of nude pumps and floral frocks and delivers to Australia.

The cream dress Kate wore for her engagement portraits in 2010 came from Reiss as did the oyster dress she wore to meet the Obamas in 2011 (above), both $312. She regularly wears their coats — she loves a $650 hounds-tooth check coat she first debuted in 2015.

Where to buy: Reiss.com still make similar structured styles and delivers to Australia.

RUSSELL AND BROMLEY

This shoe chain is a go-to of Catherine’s. She has regularly worn their stretch knee-boots, $846 and was snapped in their $223 wedge sandals with her Zara dress at the polo
