CATCHING Milat star Malcolm Kennard is in hiding after he was involved in a violent altercation at Channel 9’s Logies after-party.
High-profile guests at Shane Warne’s Club 23 at Crown casino were left stunned when Kennard suddenly struck TV presenter Lauren Phillips’s brother, Bo, in the early hours after the TV awards show.
A source said a shaken Mr Phillips was yet to file a police report.
It is believed the punch happened on the club’s balcony about 3.30am, close to guests House Husbands star Gary Sweet and I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!’s Dr Chris Brown.

A source told the Herald Sun that Kennard asked Sweet, who was standing nearby, who Mr Phillips was and whether he was his friend before suddenly lashing out.
Another high-profile partygoer, who did not want to be named, said: “Bo suddenly hit the deck. He hit the ground pretty hard. Dr Chris Brown was first to the scene, rolling him on his side and checking him over.
“Bo’s girlfriend was there. She was distraught and crying. He was unconscious for a long time.” Sweet, who does not know Kennard, also helped Dr Brown treat Mr Phillips.
Asked if security had escorted Kennard from the party, the witness added: “He (Kennard) just walked back inside and ordered a drink or two at the bar before leaving himself.”
Nine spokeswoman Michelle Stamper told the Herald Sun: “We are disgusted that someone who was uninvited would attend our private party and behave in such a repulsive manner. Nine is investigating the matter.”
An ambulance was called to Crown to treat Mr Phillips but it is understood he left the party with his Postcards presenter sister to go to hospital himself for assessment.
He was seen by a doctor and underwent several scans before being sent home.
Mr Phillips said he was “unsure what prompted the incident” with Kennard.
“Fortunately I am fine,” he posted on Facebook.
“A disappointing conclusion to an otherwise terrific night.”
Crown declined to comment on the incident.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty said police were yet to receive a report of any incident and no investigation had been launched.
Kennard could not be reached for comment.
