From wreath laying to the playing of the Last Post, Gold Coasters will honour the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs at ceremonies held across the city on April 25. Local RSL clubs will host Dawn Services, marches, Day Services and other time-honoured commemorative events.
This year, Gold Coast services will be supported by the Royal Australian Air Force. Throughout the morning, Gold Coasters will be able to observe RAAF aircraft conducting flypasts.

Dawn Services
Burleigh Heads RSL
Dawn Service starts at 4.28am at the cenotaph, Memorial Park, Burleigh Heads. There is no dawn march, see ‘Mid Morning Services’ below for more details.
Currumbin RSL
At 3.30am, the gates to the march assembly area will open at Currumbin Sanctuary Village Green (28 Tomewin Street, Currumbin). The march will start at 4.35am and will proceed to Elephant Rock for The Dawn Service at 5am. The Dawn Service will finish at 7am.
REGISTRATION: Veterans, sub branch members and serving personnel wishing to be seated in the ceremonial area must register here. Registrations will remain open until April 18 and you can also register for up to four people to attend with you. For the general public, surrounding areas are free. No registration required
GETTING THERE: A drop-off pick-up service will start at 3am from two locations: Currumbin RSL and The Pines Shopping Centre. After The Dawn Service, you will be dropped back.
North Gold Coast – Helensvale
A Dawn Service will be held at Remembrance Park (behind Club Helensvale), Discovery Drive. Please arrive by 5am for a 5.20am start. There is no dawn march.
Mudgeeraba-Robina RSL
Assembly is at 4.20am at Elsie Laver Park. The Dawn Service will start at 4.40am before a gunfire breakfast at the Memorial Hall (62 Railway St, Mudgeeraba). There is no dawn march, see Mid Morning Services below for more details.
Nerang RSL & Memorial Club
A Dawn Service will be held at the Cenotaph in front of the Nerang RSL & Memorial Club. Nerang St will be closed from White St to Nerang RSL from 4am. The service will commence at 4.45am. There is no dawn march, see ‘Mid Morning Services’ below for more details.
Runaway Bay RSL
The Dawn Service will start at 5am at the Anzac Memorial at the Runaway Bay RSL Sub Branch Cenotaph near the Runaway Bay Library. There is no dawn march, see Mid Morning Services below for more details.
Southport RSL Sub Branch
A Dawn Service and citizens service will start at 4.30am at Anzac Park, Broadwater Parklands and finish at 5.30am.
Surfers Paradise RSL
For the dawn march, arrival is from 4.45am on Beach Road, Surfers Paradise (in front of the Subway) and the march starts at 5am sharp. The Dawn Service will be held at the Anzac Memorial on the Esplanade, starting 5.30pm.
Tamborine Mountain RSL
The Dawn Service will be held at the Tamborine Village Memorial Hall Cenotaph. Attendees are urged to arrive by 4.10am for a 4.30am start.
Tweed Heads and Coolangatta RSL
The Dawn Service will start at 5.45am at Chris Cunningham Park, Tweed Heads ahead of a gunfire breakfast at Flame. There is no dawn march. See Mid-Morning Services below for more details.
Mid Morning Services
Burleigh Heads RSL
The Veterans Parade will assemble at 9.20am for a 9.40am start from James St, Burleigh Heads followed by a community service at 10am at the cenotaph, Memorial Park, Burleigh.
Currumbin RSL
March assembly at Winders Park, Duringan St at 10.35am. At 10.55am the parade will start and cenotaph service will follow.
Mudgeeraba-Robina RSL
Assembly is at 3pm at Mudgeeraba Village Green for a 3.30pm start. Road closures will be in place from 2.30pm.
Nerang RSL & Memorial Club
Nerang St, Lavelle St and White St will be closed at 9am for the march. Assembly is the intersection of Lavelle St and Nerang St at 9.20am for a 9.40am start proceeding to the Cenotaph. Following the main march, a day service will be held at the Cenotaph.
Ormeau Pimpama War Memorial Association Inc.
A day service will be held at the Pimpama Uniting Church Grounds commencing at 8.30am sharp. A free shuttle service will be available from 7.15am at the Ormeau Bulldogs Football oval and the Highway Christian Church.
Runaway Bay RSL
A march will be held at 9.30am. Assembly point is the Runaway Bay Seagulls Rugby League Club. The procession will make its way from the club to the cenotaph where the day service will be held from 10am.
Southport RSL Sub Branch
A march will commence at 8.30am proceeding towards Anzac Park, Broadwater Parklands via the Gold Coast Highway. Assembly is at ‘Veterans Lawn’ located on the hilly area in front of the Acquatic Centre, opposite Nind St. Following the march a day service will be held at Anzac Park, Broadwater Parklands commencing 9am.
Surfers Paradise RSL
A midday service will be held at The Cenotaph, Cavill Park, Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise at 12pm. Following the service, a gathering will be held at the Diggers and Sports Club.
Tweed Heads and Coolangatta RSL
Assembly is at 10am at Coral St, Coolangatta (off Boundary St) before marching towards Chris Cunningham Park. The Service of Remembrance will then start at 11am at the park.
North Gold Coast RSL – Upper Coomera
March assembly is at 10.30am at Upper Coomera Library for a 11am step off. A Day Ceremony will commence at 11am at the Upper Coomera Community Hub, on the corner of Reserve Rd and Abraham Rd.
Anzac Day flypasts
Royal Australian Air Force aircraft will conduct flying displays at a number of Queensland locations in support of Anzac Day commemorations. Here is where you can view the display on the Gold Coast:
Arundel – 10.57am at 299 Napper Road, Arundel QLD. Two F/A-18F Super Hornet Aircraft will fly over.
Currumbin – 11.23am at Currumbin RSL, 165 Duringan Street QLD. An EA-18G Growler Aircraft will fly over.
Pimpama – 8.15am at the Ormeau Pimpama War Memorial, Creek Street QLD. An EA-18G Growler Aircraft will fly over.
Springbrook – 10.55am at the Springbrook Cenotaph, Centenary Park, Carrick’s Road QLD. An EA-18G Growler Aircraft will fly over.
Surfers Paradise – 11.23am at the Anzac Memorial, The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise QLD. Two F/A-18F Super Hornet Aircraft will fly over.
