Police investigating after woman killed in collision with bus on Numinbah Rd at Crystal Creek in Tweed on Wednesday afternoon
A woman riding a motorbike has tragically died after colliding with a school bus full of school students.

A motorbike rider has died after colliding with a school bus transporting students near the Queensland-New South Wales border.
Emergency services were called to Numinbah Rd at Crystal Creek in the Tweed Shire, around 5km northwest of North Arm, about 4pm on Wednesday.
It was reported two motorbikes were heading east when one rider “allegedly crossed to the incorrect side of the road and collided with a school bus”, according to NSW Police.
The rider, who police believe was a woman aged in her 50s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but died at the scene of the crash.
She had not been formally identified by Thursday morning.
The second rider, a man driving the bus and 14 schoolchildren on the bus were not injured.
Police took the bus driver, thought to be in his 40s, to hospital for mandatory alcohol and drug testing.
Tweed Byron Police District officers set up a crime scene and launched inquiries into the circumstances of the fatal collision.
It took about six hours for Numinbah Rd to be reopened following the crash.
Police have urged anyone with information – or dashcam footage of the crash – to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information is treated in strict confidence.
