A man has been taken into custody by police following reports of a “disturbance” at a Burleigh Heads resort.

A man has been taken into custody after a police operation in Burleigh Heads.
Witnesses said a man had been seen on an Ocean St resort balcony with what appeared to be an imitation firearm shortly before 4pm on Thursday.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said officers attended the resort following reports of a “disturbance”.
Following negotiations, the man was taken into custody at 4.45pm.
