A man has sustained “significant burns” in a fire at a property west of the Gold Coast on Monday morning.
Emergency service were called to a private address at Tamborine, in the Scenic Rim, about four kilometres from Wongawallan around 10.20am to treat a man in his 50s.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man sustained serious burns when he reportedly was lighting a fire at the property.
He was treated by paramedics at the home before being taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
