A woman has been charged after an alleged stabbing on the Gold Coast that left two people in hospital.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Haig St at Coolangatta at about 2.25am on Tuesday after reports of an altercation.
Paramedics on scene assessed a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman who had non-life-threatening stab wounds.
They were both taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.
Police arrested and have since charged a 20-year-old woman with wounding, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit serious disease, and enter dwelling with intent by break at night and using/threatening violence. All are charged as domestic violence offences.
The Tweed Heads South woman was remanded in custody, with her case due to return to Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Investigations are ongoing.
