Emergency services called to alleged stabbing in Surfers Paradise

A man has been rushed to hospital and a crime scene has been established after an alleged stabbing on the Gold Coast.

A man has been rushed to hospital and a crime scene has been established after an alleged stabbing on the Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called after reports of a break and enter at a residence on Adori St in Surfers Paradise around 11pm on Sunday.

A Gold Coast police spokesman said once officers arrived they found a man in his 40s, who had suffered a stab wound to his thigh.

Paramedics assessed the man and took him to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers believe the offenders had fled the scene on foot.

Police are calling for anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact them at 131 444.

Investigations are ongoing.
