A woman is fighting for her life and a man in a serious condition after two separate incidents on the Gold Coast.
The woman, aged in her, 60s has been rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition suffering “significant head injuries” at about 1.50pm on Sunday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the woman had been riding a pushbike at the intersection of Boyd Street and Morshead Street, Tugun when she lost balance and fell, hitting her head on the road.
She was attended by high acuity response and critical care paramedics.
Earlier, a man in his 50s was left in a serious condition after a motorcycle crash off Yawalpah Road, Pimpama.
The spokeswoman said the man was rushed to GCUH at around 10.09am suffering from serious chest injuries.
