Driver smashes into Chevron Island Bridge in early morning crash
A driver is lucky to have escaped unscathed after a crash on Chevron Island Bridge this morning.

A driver had a narrow escape after crashing into Chevron Island Bridge on Thomas Drive early on Sunday morning.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the driver, believed to be male, had difficulty exiting the vehicle on the driver’s side following the incident.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5am. The driver of the car was not injured and declined transport to hospital.
The crash caused damage to parts of the fencing along the bridge and the car has now been removed from the area.
