The hardest working items in my wardrobe are ... Explorer socks, which I’ll rock for cold early mornings. Obviously they’re not the trendiest of items but I’m always comfort and practicality before appearance. You can take the girl out of Tasmania ...

My most recent purchase was ... A pair of Insight jeans on sale that I intended to cut off into long shorts but they’re too good the way they are.

The wardrobe I wish I could raid belongs to ... Björk. She was amazing at her DJ set in Carriageworks.

Three items every woman should own are ... Supportive shoes, sunscreen and a hot water bottle.

My ultimate skincare saviour is ... Intense Moisture by Dermalogica. My skin can be sensitive and gets very dry and flaky, especially in winter and during the changing of seasons. Vanessa Megan’s products, like the Rose and Chamomile Hydrating Face Cream, are also a great remedy.

I can break out in rashes from tress or allergy too, so I use a small amount of tea tree to disinfect and camomile to soothe. I love Vanessa’s attitude “you shouldn’t put anything on your skin that you wouldn’t eat.” I think it’s important to recognise the body is connected, our skin is just another organ and to try to treat it with care.

I don’t believe in bags over shoes or shoes over bags ... Both are necessary for getting around but I’m not addicted to either. I’d rather spend my disposable income at Eckersley’s.

My make-up MVP is ... A little concealer around the eyes.

I’m listening to ... Bruce Springsteen and Whitney Houston were my last YouTube rabbit holes. Whitney’s ‘How Will I Know’ is such a fun clip.

When I have a bad hair day, I fix it by ... Embracing the madness, wearing a hat or, if it’s serious and I need to polish up, giving myself a blow-dry, which is also the greatest arm workout there is.

My signature scent is ... Essential oils over perfume. Geranium rose, jasmine and cinnamon are some of my faves.

I order coffee over tea ... Because it is a first-thing-in-the-morning necessity. I even get excited thinking about it the night before.

I’m currently binge watching ... Stranger Things, my favourite US show since The Wire.

My morning routine is ... A cup of hot water, with maybe lemon and/or turmeric, toast, coffee, shower.

I’m not into Instagram stalking ... I’m more inclined to Ancestory.com stalk, or research, at the moment. Family history really intrigues me, there are so many untold stories and unknown relatives out there. Especially in Tassie.

My party trick is ... Photographing/Bee-Snapchat-filtering the funny and stupid happenings of a night ... but never posting.

My favourite Sydney spot is ... Waverly/Clovelly beaches. They often seem less used and you could be anywhere. It’s no secret that I’m a lover of beaches.

My comfort food go-to is ... Chocolate. Lindt Salted Caramel is my current fave.

I’m a regular at ... Luxe Bakery, Newtown. I believe Luxe’s custard tarts are the world’s best. They make a great coffee too.

My five, real or fictional, dream dinner party guests ... Paulo Coehlo, Joni Mitchell, David Attenborough, Gene Wilder and Maya Angelou come to mind.
