Armstrong Creek’s newest primary is on track to open its doors to up to 650 students at the beginning of next year.
Construction at the Warralily Park Primary School site start is underway, with facilities to include an administration and library building, specialist spaces for art, science and food technology, three learning areas, hard courts, a sports field and a school community hub building.
Incoming principal Shannon Cormack and Western Victorian MP Gayle Tierney visited the site, at 170 Coastside Drive, last week.
The new school will include a kindergarten with up to 118 kinder places available.
Warralily Park will be one of 19 new Victorian schools set to open in 2026, which completes the Allan Labor Government’s promise to open 100 new schools.
Architectus was appointed as architect in 2023, with Building Engineering signed up as the builder in 2024. Construction began in late 2024 and is expected to be completed by December 2025.
Ms Tierney said the new should would be a much-needed hub for local families.
“It’s wonderful to see such a strong focus on community, with a kindergarten, school and shared spaces all in one place,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to returning in 2026 when the school opens its doors to up to 650 local students.”
