A mother who drove her car into her ex-husband outside a Geelong catholic school, resulting in serious injury, has been spared a criminal conviction.

Tina Michelle Dando appeared in the Geelong Magistrate Court on Tuesday where she was found guilty of reckless conduct endangering serious injury-motor vehicle relating to an incident on November 20 last year.

She was arrested at the St Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Armstrong Creek after she rammed a 38-year-old man in front of children, flinging him into the air.

The victim sustained severe bruising to his leg and was left traumatised as a result.

“The force of the impact and the speed of the impact threw me through the air,” he said at the time.

“The injuries to my body are from the impact to the pavement.”

Ms Dando, who now goes by her maiden name Veca, was later charged by police with the serious offence, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Magistrate Franz Holzer fined her $2500 without conviction in court on Tuesday.
