Man rushed to Geelong hospital after motor scooter crash in North Geelong

A man was rushed to Geelong hospital after a serious collision involving a motorised scooter, with authorities appealing for witnesses.

A man was rushed to hospital after a serious collision early Tuesday morning involving a motor scooter, with authorities appealing for witnesses.

Emergency services were called to Thompson Road in North Geelong at about 3.15am on Tuesday after a male, in his 40s, was found lying on the road.

A Victoria Police spokesman said the rider was taken to Geelong hospital in a serious condition.

“Investigators are yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation is ongoing,” he said.

It’s believed a section of the road near the incident was blocked as paramedics assisted the man.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with information in relation to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
