A man has been killed in a Geelong motorcycle crash, with one woman flown to hospital in a critical condition.

A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Charlemont.

Victoria Police on Tuesday afternoon confirmed a man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene of the Boundary Rd crash.

The man’s female passenger has been flown to hospital in a critical condition.

“Police are currently at the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash in Charlemont,” Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach said.

“It is believed a motorcycle was travelling west along Boundary Road when the rider lost control and crashed at the roundabout on Horseshoe Bend Road about 10.20am.

“Two people were on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

“A man who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

“A female has been flown to hospital in a critical condition.”

Victoria Police’s Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

They are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
