A Grovedale man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a Colac man.

A Grovedale man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a man in Melbourne’s CBD during the early hours of Monday morning.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police believed a 20-year-old man from Colac was assaulted on the corner of Spencer and Collins streets at 4am on Monday.
“The alleged offender fled the scene on foot,” the spokeswoman said.
The Colac man was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
“A short time later officers arrested a 20-year-old Grovedale man on Spencer St.”
The spokeswoman said the man would be interviewed and the investigation remains ongoing.
