Artificial intelligence up-ending the economy, an average season for the Cats, and the AFL’s first openly gay male footballer are among Geelong psychics’ predictions for 2024.

Lara psychic medium Janelle Bridge foresees an “okay” footy season for Geelong, which will be “nothing to write home about”.

“It won’t be terrible, it won’t be amazing,” she said.

She predicted some “serious misdemeanours” would come to light in Australian politics.

On the global scale, she predicted increased conflict involving Israel, with America also involved.

Major countries would strike a peace deal in October, she said.

She said she felt there would be a sudden death of a young royal family member in April.

And Ms Bridge predicted a change in the economy and people’s attitudes.

People would be turning away from consumerism and opting for a slower life, spending less money, she said.

“There will be a change in priorities,” she said.

She also saw more water disasters, possibly floods across NSW, occurring in March.

Ms Bridge was not the only one to forecast flooding.

Leopold psychic medium Ashlyn Begg foresaw two or three flash floods in Geelong for 2024.

“I feel council will have to have some really big conversations around that,” she said.

This flooding could affect a piece of new major infrastructure, Ms Begg said.

She also anticipated uproar over new infrastructure, and forecast timeline blowouts.

Ms Begg also felt there would be a unique weather event on the region’s coast next year – similar to the Waurn Ponds tornado event in 2020.

Amid the housing crisis, she sees “a lot more communal living”, like properties with vans and tiny homes.

Ms Begg predicted the first gay AFL player would come out with their sexuality.

She forecast the player would attract support and the revelation would be a “really positive thing”.

In the celebrity world, she predicted an iconic Australian male would die before June – someone unexpected whose death would cause ripple effects throughout the music industry.

And she predicted an iconic Australian female would have a multiple birth at a mature age.

She said she felt economically tough times would continue until about mid-year, but would then loosen up.

“(It) is going to be rocky until interest rates drop,” she said.

Ms Begg forecast that artificial intelligence would “really take over”, which would cause changes in how people were employed.

“People will be pushed, in a good way, to make income on the side or start new jobs,” Ms Begg said.

She predicted there would not be an end to global conflict any time soon.

She also said she did not think the referendum marked the end of the Voice to parliament concept, and that First Nations people would end up having a “proper say”.

“I do think Australia is going to have an interesting shift politically,” she said.
