A Geelong man had his morning routine interrupted with news of a $1 million lottery win on Monday.
The man was one of five division one winning entries in the Saturday Tattslotto draw, who each scored $1.1 million.
Speaking to an official from The Lott this morning, the Geelong resident said he had initially declined a call informing him of the big win while coming out of the shower.
“I tried to answer the phone, but I didn’t have my glasses on!” he said.
“I couldn’t see what I was doing, so I accidentally hung up on you.
“I’m just going by my morning and getting ready for the day.
“I definitely didn’t expect this.”
The man said he had wished for decades for his winning day to arrive.
“I play TattsLotto every week and have been dreaming of winning big for about 40 years now,” he said.
“I’ll keep the winning news on the down-low, but I’ll definitely tell my wife this morning.
“She won’t believe it.”
While the purchase possibilities of such a big win are somewhat endless, the man said he was too shocked at the news to set his mind on one purchase.
“I’m not sure what I’ll spend the money on, but I’m sure it will be something worthwhile,” he said.
“I’m a bit too overwhelmed to think of anything at this stage.”
The man purchased his life-changing 50-game Quickpick at Nextra Bacchus Marsh Village Newslotto.
