A number of fire crews and police vehicles were called to a house in Whittington following reports of structure fire on Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesman from Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) said crews responded to a structure fire at 3.07pm on Cernan Court, Whittington after callers to reported a house fire.
“Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a three-bedroom house fully involved,” the spokesman said.
“FRV and CFA crews wore breathing apparatus to swiftly tackle the blaze, and the scene was deemed under control at 3.20pm.
“A search of the property was conducted, and no one was located inside.”
Crews are expected to remain on scene for some time to fully extinguish the blaze and make the scene safe.
Victoria Police are on scene.
The gas company was requested to attend.
