Docklands man, 62, dies in horror Mount Moriac crash

A passenger who died in a horror two-car collision in Mount Moriac just days before Christmas has been identified, with the driver remaining under police guard.
A 62-year-old Docklands man died at the scene of the crash, near the intersection of Cape Otway Rd and the Princes Highway, which left four others injured.
Emergency services were called to the intersection about 11.40am on Friday after a white Mazda CX5 and a Toyota LandCruiser collided.
A female passenger in her 60s who was in the Mazda was transported by air to The Alfred hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
The female driver of the Mazda and another female passenger, both in their 20s were transported by road to Geelong hospital and are in stable conditions.
The driver of the Mazda is under police guard, while the driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and the investigation remains ongoing.
There have been 278 lives lost on Victorian roads this year, including two fatalities in Greater Geelong, seven in the Surf Coast shire and five in the Golden Plains.
