Geelong expects interceptor Tom Stewart to face North Melbourne on Saturday night as he manages a jarred knee.
Stewart gave Cats fans a scare after he came off in some discomfort in the third term of the Cats’ win over St Kilda on Sunday and he was then subbed out of the match as a precaution.
The five-time All-Australian will be monitored in the lead-up to the clash with the Roos but he is set to be available this week.
Stewart has missed five games with knee injuries this season.
Injury-riddled ruckman Toby Conway made his long-awaited return in the VFL on Saturday night, coming on after halftime and collecting 26 hit-outs, 10 disposals and five clearances.
He pulled up well from his first game since June last year and is expected to face North Melbourne VFL on Sunday.
Cursed veteran Cam Guthrie is a test for their clash with the Roos as he nears a return from a calf injury, while Mitch Duncan (shoulder) is two-weeks away.
Jake Kolodjashnij has been sidelined for the entire season and remains listed as indefinite.
Mitch Knevitt and George Stevens did not feature in the VFL as carry-over emergencies as fringe Cats Ollie Henry (17 disposals, six marks and 2.2) Ted Clohesy (31 disposals, 15 contested possessions, six tackles), Jed Bews (29 disposals, 23 kicks) Jhye Clark (29 disposals) all impressed.
