Five vehicles crash on Townsville Ring Road

Five vehicles have crashed on a major road in Townsville as multiple emergency services rushed to the scene.

Five vehicles crashed on the Townsville Ring Road on Thursday morning.

Multiple emergency crews responded to the incident on the Ring Road, near Riverway Drive, in Condon.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of a two-vehicle rash near the bridge at Riverway Drive about 6.27am.

But once there crews realised another three vehicles were involved in the crash.

A spokeswoman for QFES said there was no reports of injuries but police and ambulance services were still assessing the scene.

Police were managing traffic and had cleared the scene with the road open from about 7.35am.

Investigations are continuing.
