Popular NSW Police Sergeant Luke Warburton was shot in the line of duty while wrangling with Michael de Guzman, who was holding a doctor hostage in the emergency department of Sydney’s Nepean Hospital in 2016

NSW Fire & Rescue Station Commander Bradley Giersch recounts leading the team of firefighters first on scene at a now infamous explosion and fire in Sydney’s Rozelle that killed three people and was later revealed to be intentional.
EPISODE 7: Reluctant Icons
NSW Fire & Rescue firefighters Jasper and Ervin from Wyoming fire station became unintentionally iconic to the Australia’s bushfire crisis after footage of them being overrun in their firetruck on the frontline of the fires engulfing the NSW south coast went viral around the world, brining the plight of the fires into the international consciousness.
EPISODE 8: On the Edge
In 2012, Senior NSW Fire & Rescue Firefighter Peter Cooke attended a massive apartment complex fire in Bankstown where two young women had to jump from the fifth floor to escape, killing one and gravely injuring the other.
EPISODE 9: Snowtown
Former South Australia & NSW detective, now AFP Commander, Jane Dickinson attended the infamous “Bodies in Barrels” murder case in Snowtown as a rookie cop. She recalls the need to wipe Vicks into her nose before opening the barrels with her own hands and dealing with the grisly discovery inside.
EPISODE 10: The Unexpected Role
NSW Ambulance Chaplain Malcolm York attended the West Pennant Hills shootings where John Edwards shot dead his two children, Jack and Jennifer, before taking his own life.
EPISODE 11: Midnight Gangsters
Just after midnightNSW Police Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad Detective Sergeant Ryan Jeffcoat was monitoring two gang members who had just used a shotgun and rifle to gun down three rival gangsters outside Bankstown’s Chokolatta Cafe ... Jeffcoat and his partner hunted the armed assailants - known to authorities as extremely violent perpetrators - and took them down with zero backup or support.
